Gontran Dondain, fell in love with enology a long time ago thanks to his contact with the wine industry as an international business leader in the agro-food industry. A passionate wine enthusiast he fell under the Languedoc's sun-drenched spell, and enchanted by its exceptional terroir, he acquired Château Cabezac in 1997 for its enormous potential. He has worked tirelessly to improve the estate and restructure and modernise the winery.
Sales and Marketing Director
In 2004, Stephanie joined her father at the estate having spent her previous years in the communications and events agency Wunderman Cato Johnson
(Groupe Young & Rubicam). She oversees the estate's marketing and is responsible for the markets in Paris, the UK and Asia.
Tara Lechartier is the communication, tourism and marketing manager. A British national, Tara worked for a variety of UK companies in journalism, communications and marketing since graduating with a degree in communications from Goldsmiths in London. She is responsible for the tourism activities at the estate as well as all digital communication and the production of marketing materials. She is responsible for sales in the North American, British and Northern European zones.
Nicolas Laverny is the estate manager. From a family of vine growers, he spent his childhood in the fields and the cellar helping the family and later working with them at all the important stages in the life cycle of a vine. He trained at specialist viticulture institutions in Sauternes, in Bordeaux’s Medoc region and in Montpellier. After completing his studies he stayed in the Languedoc to work for 3 different estates before arriving at Château Cabezac in 2015.
